Tanguay Netiquette

Netiquette refers to the set of rules and standards of behavior to be followed when interacting online. It aims to promote respect, courtesy, and friendliness in online exchanges.

Tanguay is present in the digital world to provide a healthy space for discussion and quick access to customer service. We are committed to reviewing all comments posted on our official and renowned social networking pages, including private messages received, on a regular basis during business hours.

To maintain this pleasant climate and to ensure the quality and relevance of the page's content and follow-up requests, we reserve the right to remove and not reply to any comment containing:

  • Discriminatory, obscene, abusive, denigrating, offensive, hateful, racist, homophobic, sexist, religious comments;
  • False or defamatory statements about anyone;
  • Repeated publications of the same message;
  • Inappropriate content whose subject is unrelated to the theme of the post;
  • Content that promotes the products and services of a competing company; and
  • Personal or confidential information about a customer, employee, or business partner.

In addition, since the use of capital letters is perceived as shouting on the Internet, it is best to avoid using them.

If a subscriber is deemed to be using inappropriate or harassing language, he or she will be removed or blocked without warning. Please note that we decline all responsibility for the content and opinions conveyed by Internet users on their social networks.

We reserve the right to modify this netiquette at any time and without notice.

If you witness a situation that violates any of these rules and that should be handled by Tanguay, please contact us immediately at media.sociaux@tanguay.ca.

We thank you for your collaboration!
