Purchase and Installation

The clearance needed in the room is specific to every model of Murphy bed. It is thus important that you make sure to have enough space in for the model you wish to purchase.

You also need to make sure the thickness of your mattress is within the norms established by the manufacturer. If you plan on leaving your beddings in place when you fold-away your bed, your mattress has to be 2 inches under the maximum thickness for your bed.

The installation of a retractable bed can be very complex, so it's strongly recommended to have it installed by professionals to preserve the quality of your product and ensure greater safety. Please note that improper installation may invalidate or even void the manufacturer's warranty.

Minimum mattress weight 60 lbs.

Maximum mattress weight 100 lbs.

Maximum mattress thickness is 11 inches.

**To avoid risk of injury, installation should be carried out by a professional or qualified person familiar with the wall structure, studs and components. The bed can be fastened to wood or metal studs, or to masonry wall structures; concrete screws (not supplied) must be used for masonry walls.
